The resigned Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, Chief Olisa Metuh at the Old Bailey Crown Court, last Friday in London cried to God to intervene in Senator Ike Ekweremadu’s case.
Chief Metuh who looked very worried, but hopeful outside the court, interacting with the press after hearing the case in the court called upon God to intervene and help him (Ekweremadu).
Senator Ike Ekweremadu, Beatrice, his wife, Obinna Obeta, and daughter, Sonia Ekweremadu are facing trial on organ harvesting at the Old Bailey Crown Court London.
Chief Metuh who recently resigned his membership from the People’s Democratic Party last October said, he has listened to the arguments from both sides in the court, David was not brought to the court, but on video link, though he said, he looked forward to seeing him (David) and hearing from him, but it was not possible, due to how the court wanted the matter to be heard, “it is their system”, Metuh said.
When asked by the press outside the court, what he thought would be going on in Senator Ike Ekweremadu’s mind as he faced the matter, he said, “He is coping up, though I do not know what is going on in his mind, but I know what is going through my mind when I was in a similar situation”.

He said, in my situation, “I was thinking about my immediate family, my children, my wife, what is happening with them, how are they copping, and how are they managing”.
He continued, saying, “You think about your family, before you think about the people”.
Metuh said, “I think his thoughts now will be on his own daughter, how she is copping, and her health, his wife and other children”.
While expressing his concern for the family, Metuh prayed to God to give Ekweremadu mercy over the judgement.
He said, “Let the mercies of God come and help him, for him to get victory and have freedom to be back to Nigeria”.
“We are praying he will get freedom, we are praying he will get freedom” Metuh said, asking Nigerians to be praying for him.

“Merciful God, I come to you as a sinner undeserving of your grace and presence. I ask for forgiveness so that my request may be heard by you.
Lord, have mercy upon my former classmate, friend and brother, Senator Ike Ekweremadu. As he goes to court today and until the day of his judgement, may your grace be upon him, his loving wife, Nwanneka and his lovely daughter, Sonia.
Father God, I join faith with my family and friends; we pray for mercy over judgment in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus”, Amen, Metuh prayed.
